Very tired

This blog was meant to be posted on the 23rd, but would you believe it?, I was too tired.


Finished my last exam [on the 23rd of June]!! It took a whole lotta nothing but we finally pushed through in the end. I can't say I'm proud of my efforts at all this semester, I always did just enough to pass and hardly any more. By the end of it I was sacrificing assignments just because I couldn't get over phone withdrawals long enough to do them.


Now that I have nothing to procrastinate doing, I fear I'll fall into my phone. Which is what I did to procrastinate anyway. All roads lead to phone for me. So, I have compiled a list of things I want to do these holidays to keep me busy. Please hold me accountable if I fail to follow through:


1. Find cool posters to print out for my dorm room

If I am to be spending another four, five months on campus, I need to make the place I live look less like a mental ward. The walls are such a sad yellow-white and the paint job isn't even clean yhhhuck. Of course I want one of each of my favourite videogames, but the issue is getting them high quality, as Pinterest only looks pretty when the image can fit in your wallet. If anybody has a good way of downloading un-watermarked, free, high quality posters online, PLEASE send the link.



2. Watch Attack On Titan / The Boys / The Map of Tiny Perfect Things

I like this option, as it will probably keep my monkey brain distracted the longest. Preston and Daniels you may recommend media also as I am not partial to only the girls in our group.


3. Make rocket fuel 

Won't be the whole rocket unless y'all want to help, but I want to lock in on getting the fuel mixture right and finding out what nozzle design achieves the most thrust.


4. BURN CDS

I want to make one that's a collection of songs from my youth that make me happy so that when I am old and dying of Alzheimer's I may listen to it and have a brief relapse of lucidity. Nah, if I ever forget who I am just kill me.


6. Blog, though I feel like I get worse at expressing anything in words each passing day. 


7. I'm bored, gonna go play Kerbal Space Program now.

    oh my god I should print posters too I got so many albums and anime and games to print out I have no posters and I must express myself

    I'll be holding you to phone abstinence first and foremost! Felt the doing bare minimum thing but in my case there's always the expectation of doing everything effortlessly so chalantly locking in is NOT AN OPTION. Never changing my ways on that unfortunately.

    Ik how to do high quality posters but if its up to poster standards... we'll see

Case study: Can a white man change?

When scrolling Instagram, two musical artists consistently appear, wearing the likes and reposts of my friends like medals. These two are Olivia Rodrigo, and BBNo$. From the media I've been shown online, I do not fully support their work / just don't get it. So, I have decided to listen to three randomly selected* songs of each, form my own opinions, and see if my perspectives change. *Gone to the most saved discography playlist of each artist, and hit shuffle play. Before I do that, I will share my current thoughts on each. Olivia Rodrigo: Her songs consist of elementary school rhymes and a few curve-balls that make people feel smart for understanding.
